The second round of the M&M Trophy, which features one round at each of the island's three golf courses, was played at Rothesay on Wednesday, May 7.

Matthew Dunn of Port Bannatyne leads the way going into the final round of this year’s M&M Trophy competition at Bute Golf Club on Sunday.

Dunn, the joint leader after the first of the tournament’s three rounds was played at his home course on May 4, followed that up with a solid net 70 (79-9) in round two at Rothesay on Wednesday - a particularly impressive score in view of the challenging cold and wet weather conditions.

Dunn now holds a two-shot lead in the overall standings thanks to his 36-hole total of 137, two clear of his Port clubmate John Black and Rothesay’s Iain Simpson.

Black posted a fine net 68 (80-12) at Rothesay on Wednesday, while Simpson returned a net 71 (79-8).
