Graham McArthur proved himself to be one of the most consistent players at Rothesay Golf Club this season with a one-over-par 70 for a net 64 to win the McNeil Trophy as the top division one player in Sunday’s medal finals.

Graham also secured the Winter Cup with a total of 272, though he had to hold off a late surge from Neil Ritchie, who posted the same ‘best four scores from six’ total after net scores of 65 and 66 in the last two rounds, but lost out to Graham’s better fifth score.

The division two winner in the medal finals was Kenny Thomson, who won on the countback after he and Jim Crawford tied on net 66; Gary Steele, playing with Winter League partner Jim Crawford, returned the best division three score with a net 68.
