Alan Laughlan won his second piece of silverware of the season at Rothesay Golf Club on Saturday when he triumphed in the Seafoods Trophy.

Alan’s excellent score of 41 stableford points was five better than runner-up Scott McAlister, and also earned him a cut in his handicap - though Scott was smiling at the weekend too, after winning the first Friday evening medal of the new season.

Meanwhile, in the Rothesay junior section, Thomas Howat won the Duncan Scott Trophy on Sunday with a net 63, four shots ahead of runner-up Jack Reynolds.
