Bute YFC’s under-16s saw their hopes of a fourth straight win in the Paisley, Johnstone and District YFL dashed on Saturday as league leaders Quarriers United eased to a 3-1 victory in Rothesay.

Matthew Leitch scored the home side’s only goal in the second half, but the visitors - who are undefeated in the league this season, with five wins and two draws to their name going into the match - had already opened up a 2-0 lead by the break, reinforcing their superiority with a third in the second period against a Bute side who finished the match with ten men.
