Rothesay Brandane’s final fixture of 2014, at home to Cambria on Saturday, was postponed because of an unplayable pitch.

Though the weather on Saturday itself was much more benign than Rothesay has been used to of late, the heavy rain which fell during the course of the week left the playing surface at the public park in High Street unfit to host the Caledonian League clash, and with no all-weather alternative in Rothesay suitable to host the match, postponement was the only option.

There are no Caledonian League fixtures scheduled for Saturday, December 20, which means the Danes’ next action won’t be until Saturday, January 10, after the traditional two-week break for Christmas and New Year.
