Rothesay Primary School’s P6/7 boys’ football team only narrowly missed out on a place in the regional finals of the Scottish School FA’s Soccer Sevens competition recently.

The boys played extremely well in the west of Scotland finals, played at Ferguslie Park in Paisley, beating Cross Aurthurlie PS, Garrowhill PS and drawing with Lourdes PS.

Unfortunately in their final match they conceded their only goal of the competition against St Roch’s PS, which pushed them into second place in the league and meant they just missed out on a place in the next stage of the tournament.

The event also gave the pupils the opportunity to try out new kits and tracksuits purchased by the Rothesay Primary Fundraising Group.
