Rothesay Brandane fell to a dramatic 5-4 defeat at the hands of Myre Athletic in their last away match of the season on Saturday.

The island side led on four occasions in the course of an end-to-end 90 minutes, with Wes Pattison and James Sprowl each netting a double.

But Myre hit back to level each time before snatching the lead with just six minutes left to play and hanging on to take full points.

The Brandanes’ misery was compounded when Pattison was sent off just after Myre’s match-winning goal, his frustration boiling over and earning him an early bath for dissent.
