The players of Rothesay Brandane AFC were left kicking their heels for a second week running on Saturday after their Caledonian League fixture away to Viewfield Rovers was postponed.

In common with many amateur clubs in the west of Scotland of late, the Lochwinnoch side’s home ground fell victim to heavy rain in the days leading up to the match, leaving no alternative but to call off the game.

The last meeting between the two sides, in Rothesay in November, saw Scott McCormack score a late goal to earn the island side a 2-1 win.
