Jane Ross looks back on her footballing year in an exclusive interview in the November 8 issue of The Buteman.

Former Rothesay Academy pupil Jane Ross has spoken to The Buteman about her first year as a professional after bringing down the curtain on her footballing year with her first hat-trick for Scotland.

Jane’s treble helped the Scots to a 4-0 win over Poland in a 2015 World Cup qualifier last week, a result which extended the national team’s winning run to four games as they battle for a place in the finals in Canada.

“We’re really pleased to have completed the year with four wins out of four,” Jane said this week.

“We’re not thinking about Canada yet - we still have two tough qualifiers to come against Sweden, but if we can keep our form going into those games we should give them a good challenge.”
