Football: Brandanes set to welcome league leaders to Rothesay

Rothesay Brandane face a tough test of their recent home form this Saturday, January 26, when Caledonian League first division leaders EKFC Whitehills visit Rothesay.

The East Kilbride club can boast a one hundred per cent record in their first season as part of the ‘Caley’ set-up, and have made good progress in both the Scottish and West of Scotland Amateur Cups.

The former Whitehills AFC have won all nine of their league matches so far, including a 2-0 win over the Brandanes at the K-Park Training Academy in East Kilbride in September.

But the Brandanes are looking to build on a fine run of home form in recent weeks which has seen the island club win five of their last six matches on home soil, climbing from the foot of the first division to a mid-table spot in the process.

Kick-off on Saturday at the public stadium in Rothesay’s High Street is at 2pm.
