Gourock Amateurs open the scoring with a deflected free kick during Saturday's 3-1 win over Rothesay Brandane.

The Brandanes are still hunting for their first win of 2013-14 after a 3-1 friendly defeat at home to Gourock Amateurs on Saturday - and but for the performance of assistant manager James O’Donnell in goal, the margin of defeat would have been even greater.

Gourock took the lead midway through the first half, and doubled their lead straight from a corner after O’Donnell saved a penalty.

The visitors added a third midway through the second half, though the Brandanes did manage a consolation with five minutes left when substitute William Lawrence turned and cracked home his first goal for the club.
