Action from Bearsden's last visit to Rothesay, in November 2012. That game ended in a 3-2 win for the Brandanes, who repeated the feat with a 1-0 away win on Saturday, September 7.

Stuart McKechnie scored the only goal with the last kick of the game on Saturday as Rothesay Brandane made it four league wins from four with a 1-0 victory away to Bearsden, writes Nino Robertson.

In a game of few clear-cut chances, Neil Whitelaw and Sean Lawrence had the best opportunities in the first half for the Danes, while keeper William Lawrence tipped a Bearsden free kick on to the crossbar to keep the game goalless at the break, but the Danes lived dangerously early in the second half, with only a Dane Williamson clearance preventing Bearsden taking the lead.

Bearsden started the second half more strongly, but the Rothesay men held the upper hand towards the end - but even so, the game was heading for a goalless draw until McKechnie’s low free kick in the 93rd minute squirmed past the Bearsden keeper into the net - sparking jubilant scenes as the whole team rushed to congratulate the scorer.
