Andy Docherty and Jason McKay have played themselves into a great position to win this year’s winter league after winning for the second week in a row with a score of 46 points.

This puts them on a total of 357 points, eight points ahead of last year’s winners Gary Steele and Jimmy Crawford who finished runners up this week on 45 points.

With only two weeks left to play in this year’s competition there is still plenty to play for with most pairings having improved on their overall total this week.

Still holding on to third place is George Reynolds and Allan Smith on 333 points, fourth place now goes to Ivan Cowie and Michael Murty who improved by six points this week to 328 points. Fifth is Jimmy Burke and Stevie McDonald on 327, sixth equal is Craig Charker and Kenny Thomson tied on 326 with Pat and Scott McDonald, eighth is Stuart Strathie and Allan Laughlan on 324 and ninth equal is Willie Glen and Gordon Shaw, and Jimmy Ewing and Ewan McTaggart on 319.

Two players scored a two at the roll-over 13th this week George Reynolds and Ivan Cowie who will split the pot. No twos were scored at the 4th or 18th and they will roll-over to next week.
