A very healthy turnout from all sections of Port Bannatyne Golf Club competed for The Lavender Centenary Trophy and for the third year running it was a junior member who took home the trophy.

Connor McLymont scored a gross 64 in his bid to lift the trophy and with 9 of a handicap to come off that his net 55 was always going to be a winner. Consisting of an outward half of 30 and an inward half of 34, his round included no fewer than nine threes.

The best score of the ladies’ section went to Ann Kennovin, while Donald Standaloft had the best score of the gents’ section with his net 63. Donald had the consolation of winning the scratch section of the August medal which was run in tandem with The Lavender Trophy. His gross 67 taking the medal.
