As in all previous seasons, the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League at Port Bannatyne Golf Club is proving highly competitive. After the second qualifying round on Sunday only two pairs out of the eighteen have the maximum of six points.

In League B the father and son Greer pairing added to their win on day one by defeating Frankie Lintermans and Robert Turnbull, who was subbing for Ian Shaw, by the tight score of 2 up.

In League C it was the young pair of cousins Matthew and Arran Dunn who have the maximum points after defeating Matthew’s grandfather Hector Whitelaw and his partner Donald Standaloft by a 4 & 2 margin.

In League A the pairings of David Driver with David Reid and Gordon Peacock with Colin Renfrew remain unbeaten since they halved their match and both have five points. Roddie Shaw and Sam Jamieson beat Jamie Jardine and Jimmy Dunn, who was subbing for Jack Paterson, by the score of 1 up.
