David Coll froze out the opposition on Saturday when he achieved his second successive Winter League victory at frost-bound Bute Golf Club.

The 11-handicapper kept his cool in difficult conditions - particularly on greens affected by the overnight freeze - as he scored a creditable stableford tally of 35 points.

A birdie at the par-four eighth hole helped him to a one-point win over Robert McKirdy (6), Graham McArthur (6), and Pat McDonald (20), who all finished on totals of 34.

There is no change at the top of the table where Leighton Thomas on 302 from eight counting scores leads by one point from Robert McKirdy.
