Waiting until the afternoon proved the key to success in the August medal at Port Bannatyne, with all the the category winners coming from those who teed off after lunch.
The best net score came from Alan Stewart, who won his first ever medal at the Port by taking the second class section with his net 64 (89-25).
David Reid took the first class with his net 65 (73-8), while junior champion Alastair Shaw won the scratch medal with a gross 79. The CSS was 68.
The Ettrick Bay Tea Room Summer Cup continues to prove very competitive, with nine different pairings finishing top in the nine weeks of the competition so far; last week’s winners were Donald Standaloft and Graham Dunn, while this week saw Calum MacPhail and Pete Barnett finish top.
