The Captain’s Prize at Rothesay Golf Club turned into a ‘family affair’ with Allan Smith Jnr winning the first prize generously donated by his father, Captain Allan Smith.

Young Allan compiled 39 points in the Stableford Competition, which was two more than David Coll on 37 and Neil Ritchie on 36. Prizes were also won for four closest to the pins, Allan Smith Jnr, Jack Jones, Ron Cuthbertson and Jimmie Crawford.

Thanks to the sponsors of these prizes.

The October medal was played on Sunday, Division 1 was won by Willie Glen with 75-7=68.

Div 2 went to Neil Ritchie with 76-9=67.

Jim McClean was the winner of Div 3 with a 101-25=76.

Ron Cuthbertson had a hole-in-one at the 13th (he likes this hole) during this competition and the youngest Smith - Derek - holed in one at the 8th on Friday.

Congratulations to both.
