The Bute volunteer group set up to raise funds for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill held an Easter fair in Rothesay on Sunday, April 6.

The Yorkies group, set up to co-ordinate local fund-raising efforts for the hospital, organised the event at the 292 Club and welcomed a steady stream of visitors throughout the afternoon.

Home baking, locally-produced meats, arts, crafts and jewellery were among the items on sale at the fair, and the money raised will be added to other local fund-raising efforts for Yorkhill including those undertaken by XL Group pupils at Rothesay Academy and staff from Nadia’s Hair and Beauty.
