Pictured here are the father-and-daughter team of David and Helen Wilkinson after completing the Great North Run on September 16 in two hours, 12 minutes and 55 seconds.
David, a Rothesay-based sergeant with Strathclyde Police, and Helen were running to raise money for the Bute-based Calum’s Cabin charity.
David was running in his first half-marathon for 25 years, while Helen’s finishing time was her personal best for the 13.1 mile distance.
So far, more than £600 has been raised for the charity, and there’s still time to donate - just click on the link to the right of this article to go to David’s JustGiving page. Well done both!
