The latest progress report on the £6 million repairs to the Wemyss Bay ferry terminal will be available at a public drop-in session in Rothesay tonight (Thursday).

The terminal, owned by Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) has been closed since October 1 for work including reconstruction of the pier, repair of the vehicle linkspan and the installation of new fendering to protect CalMac’s Rothesay ferries from the pier (and vice-versa).

Tonight’s session, hosted by Brian Sydney, the CMAL civil engineer in charge of the project, runs from 6pm until 8.30pm - and if you can’t attend in person we’ll have an update on this site over the weekend.

The pier is due to re-open to traffic on Friday, March 18 - seven days before the Easter holiday weekend.
