VisitBute are pleased to announce that their brand new postcards are now on sale in various establishments on the island.
The postcards were created as part of a competition which saw local amateur photographers send in snaps of their favourite locations on the island – in turn, promoting the island. These photos were then used to show off the very best of the island – whether it was paddling at Ettrick Bay, sailing in the Kyles of Bute or the view across Loch Far – by being transformed into postcards.
Any local business is welcome to take a box which contains 60 postcards, ten of each design. All have an ‘honesty box’ attached, requesting that customers make a donation, with a recommendation of £1, meaning no cash handling is required.
Money raised from the postcards will be used to pay for meals and transport costs for VisitBute volunteers working during the course of the Isle of Bute Jazz Festival (May 3-6) and at other key events in Bute’s calendar.
