VIDEO: ‘Tories best placed to take Argyll and Bute from Lib Dems’

The Scottish Conservatives’ general election candidate for Argyll and Bute says his party is in the best position to win the seat from the Liberal Democrats.

Alastair Redman, whose day job is as postmaster in the Islay village of Portnahaven, spoke to The Buteman during a campaigning visit to Rothesay on Saturday.

In addition to the video above, don’t miss this week’s issue of The Buteman for more of Mr Redman’s thoughts on the campaign and on his chances of victory.

As well as the Liberal Democrats’ sitting MP Alan Reid, Mr Redman is also up against Labour’s Mary Galbraith, Caroline Santos for UKIP and the SNP’s Brendan O’Hara - confirmed this week after a ballot of constituency party members - in the May 7 poll.
