VIDEO: Tentrees and Haldane bring sound of Canada to Bute

The Canadian duo of Gordie Tentrees and Jaxon Haldane kicked off Transclyde Music’s 2016 gig calendar on Bute in style on Saturday.

Their first Bute visit was also the penultimate stop on the duo’s tour of the UK and Ireland to promote Tentrees’ latest album, Less Is More - and even though they’d spent most of the day on a long drive south to Bute from Aberdeen, there was no mistaking the freshness, vitality and enthusiasm of their performance.

This short video compilation features four songs from Saturday’s gig at Craigmore Bowling Club - Haldane’s own ‘James Butler Gray’, telling a true story of the settlement of the American west, and three with both Tentrees and Haldane in action performing a trio of Tentrees’ compositions - Lost Guitar, Keno Town and Camelot Hotel, the last showing just how musical a humble carpenter’s saw can be!
