VIDEO: North Bute pupils’ Scottish assembly

Pupils at North Bute Primary in Port Bannatyne celebrated the best of Scotland’s music, culture and poetry on Friday at their school’s annual Scottish assembly.

The programme this year included songs such as Bonnie Wee Jeannie McColl, Eric Bogle’s William McBride and the Jeely Piece Song, as well as a demonstration of the pupils’ work on Scottish art and artists, Highland dancing and readings of Tam O’ Shanter and even a version of The Gruffalo in Scots.
