A new service which will provide support and information to those affected by cancer will be launched at Rothesay Library in March.

Deirdre Henderson, Macmillan Information and Support Service Manager for Rothesay, spoke to The Buteman about the new non-clinical service.

Based in Rothesay Library one day a week, the service will provide an open and welcoming environment for those affected by cancer, in any respect, to find out more about the support available to them. A number of island residents have been trained as volunteers to assist in operating the free service, which has also been established in Cambeltown to great success.

Click on the video above for a short clip from our interview with Deirdre.
