Trains back to normal after landslip

BUTE residents travelling to the mainland for work, hospital appointments or leisure activities had their journeys disrupted by a landslip on the Wemyss Bay-Glasgow line on Thursday morning.

Passengers had to use a replacement bus service between Paisley Gilmour Street and Wemyss Bay after debris was reported on the line.

The disruption also hit services on the Gourock line, with no trains running west of Paisley St James.

Services began to return to normal from around 2.30pm.
