Three new Bute community councillors elected

Three island residents have been elected councillors for Bute Community Council.

Following a recent postal ballot, Jean M. Moffat (967 votes), David C. Laird (822 votes), and Hugh Moodie (692) have been elected to fill the three vacant seats on the island’s community council.

The fourth candidate, Jim S. Mitchell, received 475 votes.
