Community groups in Bute and Cowal are being encouraged to submit applications for the second round of funding from Argyll and Bute Council’s Third Sector Grants for 2016/17.

The Third Sector Grants programme is aimed at supporting communities and vulnerable people, and helping to kick start new projects and events. There is £5,000 available and the closing date for applications is Monday 13 June. A decision will be made at the area committees in August.

The council’s Policy Lead for Community and Culture, Councillor Robin Currie said: “The council is particularly keen to encourage new groups with fresh ideas. Advice and support on funding is available from the council’s Community Development and Social Enterprise teams. I would encourage people to make the most of this funding opportunity and get their application forms returned as soon as possible.”

Applications forms are available from local area community learning offices or can be accessed by clicking here.
