Success for Bute at Ayr County Show

Bute exhibitors enjoyed a successful - if wet - weekend at the recent Ayr County Show.

In her first ever show, David McMillan’s yearling filly Westmore Eclipse won the in-hand riding horse class, while her big sister Westmore Destiny, ridden by Laura McArthur, came first in the small riding horse class. Laura’s sister Susan then went on to accompany Destiny to two firsts and two reserve championships and the Rissellona Perpetual Trophy. There was also Ayr success for Alan and Kirsty Ewing, who took a first and a second place in the private driving class in their first show with their young Welsh stallion Blaengwen Danger Mouse (aka Harper), for David Reid of Kildavannan in the poultry section and for John McMillan of Greenan Mill with his Clydesdale horses.
