Grace Gillies and Chris Park were both winners at this year's Webhelp 'Star Awards' held in Glasgow recently.

Two Rothesay Webhelp employees have been recognised in the company’s annual Star Awards, held recently in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Chris Park and Grace Gillies were nominated for their work at the island-based firm; Chris as ‘Role Model of the Year in an operational role’ and Grace for ‘Making a Difference’.

The Star Awards are Webhelp’s national employee recognition scheme, now in its fifth year, celebrating the considerable successes of its customer service professionals.

As a runner-up in the Making a Difference category for her fund-raising efforts for Cancer Research UK - which is the site’s charity partner - Grace received a £500 donation. Grace told us: “I’m absolutely delighted, and it means even more as Thursday [October 15] marks three years since I lost my mum to cancer. Hopefully the money we’ve raised, and this £500 donation, will help to save more lives from cancer.”

Chris said: “I was totally shocked. I’ve been to a couple of our awards before, and you expect a lovely dinner and a really great night but you don’t expect to win.

“It’s nice to know that your work is appreciated”. Grace added: “I get satisfaction knowing that someone nominated me, and thought I deserved it.”
