An open day will be held at Rothesay police office on Saturday, June 18, where members of the public can find out more about becoming a special constable.

Police Scotland is recruiting special constables, and an open day has been planned in Rothesay this weekend for anyone interested in finding out more about the role.

The force not only seeks to recruit special constables who may choose to become a regular officer through time, but also individuals who do not aspire to be regular officers yet bring a significant range of experience and life skills to the post.

Rothesay Police Office will host the open day for anyone interested in joining.

If you are 18 or over and would like to find out more about a career please come and see the team at any point between 11am and 1pm on Saturday, June 18.

This will be an opportunity for you to meet both regular and special constables and decide if volunteering to give something back to the community is something you would be interested in.
