A new initiative aimed at helping local people in Rothesay turn social enterprise ideas into reality will hold a ‘focus event’ in the town next week.
The ‘Vital Spark’ project is a partnership between Inspiralba, a social enterprise which helps community-based organisations turn ideas and aspirations in to robust, sustainable business activities, and Firstport, which provides free business support and awards for new start social entrepreneurs in Scotland.
The Rothesay event takes place at the Green Tree Cafe in the Moat community centre between 11.30am and 1pm on Thursday, June 18.
Tina Woolnough from Firstport said: “We want local people, families, businesses and communities to tell us what they love about their area, what could be better and what they’d like to see happen. The Vital Spark will use this information to ‘spark’ new social enterprise ideas across each area.”
Similar events are being held in Dunoon and Campbeltown.
