SLIDESHOW: Pictures from Achievement Bute’s Mesolithic Mayhem

Children on Bute may be just about settled back into their schoolday routine after the two-week October break - but those who took part in Achievement Bute’s ‘Mesolithic Mayhem’ activity programme will have plenty of happy holiday memories to look back on.

The event, organised jointly by Achievement Bute and Brandanii Archaeology and Heritage, extended the island’s successful Kids’ Archaeology Week project into a fourth year and saw outdoor expeditions to beaches and forests as well as indoor learning sessions and a short drama with a Stone Age theme.

For more pictures from the event, make sure you pick up a copy of the new issue of The Buteman - on sale from Thursday, October 24 - and look out for a film of the project, coming soon to the Facebook pages of both Brandanii Archaeology and Heritage and Achievement Bute.
