Argyll and Bute’s youth services team in Rothesay is holding two sign-up sessions this week ahead of a busy programme of summer activities for local young people.

The programme, which runs from Tuesday, June 30 to Thursday, July 23, includes environmental improvement works such as bridge building and beach cleaning, on-island events such as archery, beauty therapy and an intriguing-sounding workshop on laughter and comedy, and mainland trips to the Lochgoilhead Outdoor Centre, the Ryze trampoline park in Glasgow and the area-wide Big day Out at Inveraray Castle.

However, those who want to take part in the off-island activity sessions must first participate in one of the environmental improvement days - meaning that you need to give a little in order to get a lot back!

Sign-up sessions are at the Green Tree Cafe, within the Moat community centre in Rothesay, on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25, both from 6.30pm to 8pm.
