Mill Duchess Kate, a Clydesdale filly foal bred on Bute, has enjoyed considerable success at several recent foal shows.

The seven-month-old foal, bred by John M. McMillan and family at Greenan Mill, was first in her class, best bred foal by exhibitor, champion foal and then overall champion, all at the Kilmarnock Foal Show.

At the Lanark Foal Show she won first in her class, and at the Lothian and Borders Foal Show she was first in her class, best bred foal by exhibitor and champion foal.

In the Winter Fair, this year held at Lanark, she was first in her class and reserve champion foal - all of which suggests more successes to come.
