Stormtroopers from Star Wars’ 501st Legion were the guests of honour on Saturday as the Bute Astronomical Club brought science - and science-fiction - to life at Rothesay Pavilion.

The club’s second Elements science fair featured a planetarium, a mobile weather station, storytelling, artwork, ‘brain training’ and much more, as well as a visit from the Bodyworks team from the Glasgow Science Centre, showing off the human anatomy in close and colourful detail.
