Rothesay Witnesses to attend convention in Greenock

Members of the Rothesay congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be among 1,200 people attending the annual Circuit Assembly Convention at the Greenock Town Hall over the next two weekends.

Individuals and families from 18 congregations in the Ayrshire Circuit of Jehovah’s Witnesses, stretching from Oban to Campbletown and from Rothesay to Cathcart, will assemble in two sections to enjoy a two day Bible-based program of instruction, repeated each weekend, around the theme of ‘Safeguard Your Mind’, based on Matthew 22:37.

Following the Bible’s command to meet together, they will listen to talks and discussions helping them see how the unique instruction and advice from the Bible can Safeguard the integrity of their Christian minds.

The two weekend-long events, taking place on April 13/14 and April 20/21, will also include the public baptism of new members by complete water immersion, to be held in the immersion pool of the Greenock Congregation’s Kingdom Hall in the town’s Mearns Street.

The Rothesay congregation will join those from Auchinleck, Dunoon, Irvine, Kilbirnie, Renfrew, Glasgow Cathcart, Glasgow Mount Florida and Glasgow Pollokshaws on April 20 and 21.
