Rothesay winter roadshow is rescheduled

A ‘Ready for Winter’ roadshow in Rothesay which was called off this week due, ironically, to bad weather, has been rescheduled for this Friday, November 23.

The roadshow, organised by the Scottish Government, had been due to visit the Co-operative supermarket in the town’s Bridge Street on Monday, but strong winds caused the suspension of the Rothesay-Wemyss Bay ferry service and meant the roadshow team could not get to Bute.

The roadshow takes the form of a pop-up area that will visit supermarkets and local high street areas across the country, engaging with the public to help everyone be better prepared this winter.

The team behind the roadshowwill encourage the public to think about how they could be affected by severe weather this winter, to put in place simple plans and take some easy action that all together will help Scotland be more prepared.
