Cloud and light rain showers dominate the weekend weather forecast for Rothesay, according to the Met Office.
A largely dry night is expected on Friday into Saturday, with a 60 per cent chance of rain on Saturday morning and late afternoon, though any showers should be light.
Cloud cover is forecast to remain in place throughout the day, keeping temperatures fairly constant, from nine degrees Centigrade overnight and in the early hours of the morning to a peak of 11 degrees on Saturday afternoon.
Winds should be light, reaching speeds of no more than 10-11 miles an hour, meaning little or no chance of weather-related disruption to ferry services.
Saturday is expected to be a dry night, with cloud cover and overnight temperatures remaining fairly constant.
Light rain showers could return on Sunday morning, but later in the day the skies will clear and there’s a good chance of some sunny spells towards the end of the afternoon.
Temperatures should remain at the same level as Saturday, although while wind speeds are expected to remain light, there will be a change in wind direction from west to north, meaning it could feel a good two or three degrees cooler.
