A 24-year-old man who climbed onto the roof of a Rothesay building and threatened to jump has been jailed for 80 days.

The man was arrested for a breach of the peace at the property in Columshill Street at 11.10pm on July 23, and was detained in custody.

He later pleaded guilty at Greenock Sheriff Court, and was sentenced to 80 days in prison.
