A gallery of postcards, sent to Bute from all over the world, was displayed at the Cabbies Rest on Saturday morning,

Over 400 postcards were sent to the Guildford Square gap-site from all corners of the globe from Mull to Marseille, Haddington to Hiroshima, Oban to Oman, and from Rothesay, Bute to Rothesay, New Brunswick.

The project was a world-record attempt organised by Brandaii Archaeology and Heritage, and also involved children from across Argyll and Bute, many of whom sent in hand-drawn postcards stating what they liked about Rothesay.
