Rothesay’s police service has received a welcome boost with the first of three new officers having arrived to the island.

Police Inspector Paul Robertson told Bute Community Council on Wednesday evening in Kingarth Hotel that Police Scotland has secured the services of officers coming here for summer secondments, adding “It’s great to be able to boost our numbers for the busy summer period, and we’re currently making preparations for the season’s events like the Bute Highland Games.”
