An elderly Rothesay man has been reunited with a wheelchair which was stolen from outside his home in the town.
Robert McDonald was left virtually housebound after the theft of his mobility aid from a bin storage area behind his Bridge Street flat in late July.
But his daughter Edith was delighted to receive a call from police last week, telling her a wheelchair matching the description of the stolen item had been recovered.
“I knew it was my dad’s straight away,” Edith said.
