A planning application for the installation of double-glazed uPVC windows at the Bute House Hotel in Rothesay's town centre was due to be decided on September 25.

A planning application for new uPVC windows in a Rothesay town centre hotel has been turned down.

Members of Argyll and Bute Council’s planning, protective services and licensing committee considered the application for the Bute House Hotel, on the corner of West Princes Street and Watergate at a meeting in Lochgilphead on Wednesday.

Though we were unable to attend the meeting in person, we contacted the authority’s press office afterwards and were informed that the applications for planning permission and listed building consent had been refused.
