A 41-year-old man was arrested at the weekend following a disturbance on board a ferry crossing to Rothesay.

Police were called to Rothesay pier at 7.50pm on Saturday, May 14, and arrested the man who is alleged to have refused to leave the vessel.

He has been charged with six offences, which include resisting arrest and the assault of two police officers. The man was held in police custody pending an appearance at Greenock Sheriff Court.
