Rothesay Academy closed due to weather

ROTHESAY Academy will stay closed on Thursday due to the extreme weather forecast for west and central Scotland.

In a Twitter announcement at 8.25am the council stated that the Academy, along with a number of schools in the Dunoon area, would not open.

High winds have already closed several schools in the Helensburgh and Lomond area, and the authority has warned that other schools are likely to close early.

Decisions on whether to remain open are to be left to individual schools.
