Mrs Aileen Fitzgerald, vice-president, presided over the April meeting, which took the form of a ‘Corner Night’. Jean McMillan showed how to make cards by ‘Paper Casting’. This entailed the use of tissue paper and glue on a mould and the results were most attractive.
Jessmay Morton demonstrated a ‘Chequered Cake - producing a patterned sponge cake as if by magic.
Beck Reid produced lovely floral display and as ever Beck knew just where to put the blooms.
Finally Els Kamst, one of the newer members, demonstrated a very different apple tart. She entitled it ‘Els Mum`s Apple Pie’.
The ‘Corner Night’ yet again proved to be an extremely popular mix, as Elizabeth McMillan said in her vote of thanks.
