Bute Advice Centre, in collaboration with Bute Community Links and the Area Development Group, recognise the need for a food-bank initiative.
In light of the difficulties facing vulnerable people in the community, a pilot is being rolled out by Bute Advice Centre. Over the coming months appeals will go out locally for supplies of non-perishable foods that will then be disseminated amongst those requiring support.
Anyone who is experiencing extreme financial difficulties now and is unable to buy basic foodstuffs should make an appointment at the Bute Advice Centre, where an adviser can offer support alongside a supply of up to three days food.
Bute Advice Centre would like to take this opportunity to call on local people, businesses and community groups to offer their support.
If you can offer any assistance please call 01700 502784 or log on to the Bute Advice Centre Facebook page for information.
