NHS Highland and Argyll and Bute Council, along with local voluntary organisations, are offering parents the opportunity to attend a number of ‘4Ts’ parent courses available on the island.
The first, ‘What can the parent of a teenager do?’ is for parents of children aged 12-16, starting Tuesday, April 30. Sessions will run weekly from 1-3pm at Rothesay Playgroup for six weeks.
‘What can a parent do?’ is for parents of children aged 5-12, starting Monday, May 13, with sessions running weekly from 1-3pm at Rothesay Playgroup for seven weeks.
These courses are an opportunity for parents to take time out of their busy day to think about the pleasures, opportunities and challenges being a parent can bring.
Both courses are entirely free of charge and will have a free creche available for younger siblings (booking required). Parents do not have to be having problems with their children in order to attend and feedback from past participants is always positive.
